Key Highlights:

  1. What is the message that I need to understand to make an informed decision to be saved?
    1. The message is the good news about Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection that purged all of your sins from past, present, and future once and for all. Jesus was the ultimate sacrificial Lamb of God.
      1. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV – The simplest good news about Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection.
      2. Hebrews 10:9-10 KJV – Apostle Paul wrote to the Hebrews regarding the sacrifice of Jesus Christ being the ultimate one time sacrifice for the whole world and how they are sanctified not of themselves, but because of Jesus Christ’s work at the cross and love/grace.
      3. John 3:16-18 KJV – Jesus came to die for the whole world and came to save and not condemn the world.
  2. What must I do to be saved?
    1. The simplest thing to do is to, believe (rely) on Jesus Christ and the complete works that He completed at the cross that saved!
      1. John 6:29 KJV – Jesus was speaking to the disciples that were questioning Him about being saved (eternally). Jesus told them that the will of God for mankind is; to look to Him and believed on Him whom the Father has sent.
      2. John 6:40 KJV – Jesus was speaking that if ANYONE (including you and me) look and believe on the Son, Jesus Christ, that you shall be saved, eternally.
    2. These are great examples of how people simply relied on Jesus for salvation:
      1. Abraham was justified because he believed on God when he was about to sacrifice his son, Jacob (now Israel) to God.
        1. Romans 4:3 KJV
      2. The centurion believed on the words of Jesus Christ and the servant who had palsy, was healed by Jesus at that moment. The centurion had more faith than Israel (due to rejection from Israel).
        1. Matthew 8:5-13 KJV – The Centurion’s servant had palsy and was healed. The centurion believed on Jesus Christ and the servant was healed.
      3. After the day of pentecost, during the time there after, when the apostles were jailed, an earthquake has shook that caused the double doors of the jail cell to open. The jailer (security guard) that managed the jail facility was afraid and asked Peter how he can be saved. Peter told him that to believe on Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.
        1. Acts 16:25-31 KJV – Conversion of the Jailor and the whole house after the jailor told his family about the good news of Jesus Christ (Grace Dispensation as of that time).
  3. After the moment of salvation, am I eternally saved?
    1. Yes, simply put.
    2. You cannot be unborn from the Spirit of God just as you cannot be unborn, physically.
      1. John 3:1-15 KJV – Jesus spoke to the Jewish leader, Nicodemus regarding being born from the Holy Spirit instead of physical birth to see the Kingdom of God.
  4. How am I saved for eternity and what verses supports eternal life?
    1. At the moment of belief (rely) on Jesus Christ and His works at the cross:
      1. You are born through the Spirit of God.
        1. John 3:1-15 KJV
      2. You are sealed by the Holy Spirit of God until the day of redemption (purchase possession or the Rapture of the Church, more on this later).
        1. Ephesians 4:30 KJV
      3. You are a son or daughter of God and will never kick you out of the family, ever.
        1. John 1:12 KJV
  5. Can I pluck myself or apostasy away from the faith in Jesus Christ and lose salvation?
    1. Simply put, no. You cannot pluck yourself out of God’s hands. Jesus keeps you saved for His namesake.
      1. John 10:25-30 KJV – Jesus spoke to the religious leaders in His time when he was doing earthly ministry with others and said that they do not believe and that He would never allow any man to pluck the sheep (believers) out of His hands, ever.
    2. Even if you have sinned (in the flesh), your spirit is perfected in Christ thanks to Christ’s imputed righteousness upon anyone that rest in Jesus Christ.
      1. 2 Corinthians 5:21 KJV – Jesus’ imputes His righteousness upon anyone that rely (faith) on Him for salvation.
    1. No human and not even YOU can ever be plucked out of God’s hands.
  6. Do I need to give my life to Jesus Christ to be saved?
    1. No, remember, that it is what Jesus gave His life for YOU not the other way around. It was through His Grace and Mercy do we have a chance to be saved.
    2. Giving your life to Christ is the same as bringing the works of Cain to God, which Cain’s works or fruits were rejected while Abel brought a lamb to God, which symbolizes the sacrificial Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.
      1. Hebrews 11:4 KJV
  7. Do I need to turn from sin (repent) to stay saved?
    1. Repent – Change of mind.
    2. Simply put, it is not scriptural and it is the most common saying that most pastors do tell their parishioners. The words, repent of sins or turn from sins is not biblical.
    3. God changed his mind of what he would have done to the people of Nineveh after they have changed their minds once he had sent Jonah to their living area.
      1. Jonah 3:8-9 KJV
    4. God changed his mind of what he would have done to his own people, Israel after they have turned from evil.
  8. How am I sure that I am saved?
    1. God gave you assurance and that assurance is spoken of in Scriptures:
      1. You are sealed by the Spirit until the day of redemption.
      2. You are born from the Spirit instead of from the human line of Adam (sin). The new Adam is Jesus Christ (spiritual birth) and that you can never be unborn, you have a new spiritual DNA from the Spirit of God and that cannot be change, it is permanent.
      3. You cannot take yourself out of God’s hands or else God would not be infinitely powerful enough to keep you saved.
      4. Jesus keeps you for his name sake and not because of what you do.
